About the Role
In this role, you will be responsible for the installation and routine upkeep of edible gardens, including tasks such as planting, weeding, watering, and harvesting. During the installation of new edible gardens, you will need to have knowledge of the proper materials and keep track of the garden material inventory (e.g., soil, fertilizer, gardening gloves, shears, etc.). You will ensure that the soil is properly prepared and that plants are correctly placed. Your expertise in caring for herbs, vegetables, and flowers will be crucial, as you'll adhere to organic gardening practices while working closely with clients to design and implement garden plans tailored to their preferences and available space. Additionally, you'll ensure that all tools and equipment are well-maintained, follow safety protocols and company procedures, and keep organized records of maintenance schedules and client preferences. You will also provide advice and support to clients on how to care for their edible gardens between maintenance visits.
Requirements
Primary Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance of edible gardens, including planting, weeding, watering, and harvesting.
Install new edible gardens, ensuring proper soil preparation and plant placement.
Provide expert care for herbs, vegetables, and flowers, adhering to organic gardening practices.
Collaborate with clients to design and implement edible garden plans tailored to their preferences and space.
Ensure all tools and equipment are properly maintained and in good working order.
Follow safety protocols and company procedures at all times.
Maintain organized records of garden maintenance schedules and client preferences.
Provide advice and support to clients on how to care for their edible gardens between maintenance visits. Qualifications:
Experience in edible garden maintenance and installation.
Proficiency in growing and caring for herbs, vegetables, and flowers.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow design plans accurately.
Ability to interact professionally with high-end clientele and provide exceptional customer service.
Must have reliable transportation (expenses incurred on the field will be reimbursed).
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Must be willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Working Conditions:
Part-time role with flexible hours, starting at 7:30 AM.
